Not 'are you religious' — the Bible asks something far more personal: if you died today, would you be with the Lord? You can know for certain. Here's what God says.
Romans 3:23 · KJV
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Every one of us — pastor included — has sinned against a holy God. Not one of us measures up.
Romans 6:23 · KJV
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Sin earns a wage, and that wage is death — separation from God forever. But notice the second half: God offers a gift.
Romans 5:8 · KJV
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Jesus Christ — God in the flesh — took your place on the cross. He paid sin's wage in full, then rose bodily from the grave.
Ephesians 2:8–9 · KJV
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”
You cannot earn this. Not by baptism, church membership, communion, or a good life. Salvation is a gift — received, not achieved.
Romans 10:13 · KJV
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Whosoever means you. Turn to Christ from your sin, call on Him in simple faith, and He will save you — forever.
Settle it today
If God has shown you that you’re a sinner and that Jesus Christ died and rose again for you, then call on Him right now, right where you are — in your own words, from your heart. “Lord, I know I’m a sinner. I believe you died for me and rose again. Save me, Lord Jesus.”
And then tell somebody. We would count it the joy of our year to hear it, to give you a Bible, and to help you take your first steps.
