I'm new
Your first visit, without the guesswork.
Walking into a new church is a big step — especially if you just PCS'd across the Pacific. Here's exactly what a Sunday at Bible Baptist looks like.
- 01
Find us on Kilani Ave
We're at 455 Kilani Ave., Wahiawa, HI 96786 — right in the heart of Wahiawa town. Coming from Schofield or Wheeler, you're about ten minutes away. Visitor parking is available; if anything's unclear, just call or text.
- 02
Walk in as you are
You'll be greeted at the door — no forms, no spotlight, no being asked to stand up. Some folks wear aloha shirts, some wear their Sunday best. Come comfortable.
- 03
Sing the old hymns
Congregational singing from the hymnal — the great songs of the faith. If you don't know them, you'll pick them up fast; they were written to be sung together.
- 04
Open the King James Bible
Pastor Castellaw preaches plain, tell-it-like-it-is messages straight from the Scriptures. Bring a Bible if you have one — if not, we'll gladly put a King James Bible in your hands.
- 05
Stay for the aloha
Nobody rushes out the door here. Meet the church family, browse the bookstore and tract rack, and let us know how we can pray for you.
Common questions
The things first-timers actually ask.
How long are services?
Plan on a little over an hour. Sunday School at 10 flows into morning worship at 11, but you're welcome to come to either — or both.
What about my kids?
Children are welcome in every service — we love hearing little ones in church. Sunday School has teaching for all ages.
I'm military and just got orders here.
You're exactly who this church was planted for. Come once and you'll have a church home, a dinner invitation, and people who will remember your name. Text the pastor before you even land if you like.
What Bible do you use?
The King James Bible, in the pulpit and in every class. We believe it is the preserved word of God in English — see What We Believe for the full statement.
Will anyone ask me for money?
No. The offering is for our church family; guests are just that — guests.
